Prince Far I

Prince Far I (1945?1983) was a reggae singer and a Rastafarian who was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica.

Originally recording under the name of King Cry Cry, and with a deep bass voice and talking over style, he became a popular reggae musician. One of his albums, featuring the Lord's Prayer and various psalms, was dedicated to the illiterate who could not read the Bible for themselves. He also collaborated with UK On-U Sound Records and may be considered a mentor figure to Adrian Sherwood. He was shot in 1983, and died in the hospital.
