Pradhan Senapati

Pradhan Senapati, literally meaning "Chief General" but usually translated as "Chief of the Army Staff", is the title of the professional head of the Royal Nepalese Army. The rank is considered to be an equivalent of a General of the Army 1.

Pradhan Senapati has its own rank insignia, slightly similar to the United Kingdom rank of Field Marshal. An even higher rank, that of Atirathi, may be held by the King of Nepal as commander-in-chief of the armed forces
