Pork is meat from pigs. While it is one of the most common meats consumed by Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Europeans, and to some extent North Americans, it is not considered kosher under Orthodox Jewish nor halal under Islamic law. The majority of Reform Jews in the United Kingdom or other countries apart from the USA do not consider pork to be kosher either.
