Popular Action
Popular Action (in Spanish: Acción Popular), a political party in Peru that surged in 1956. Founded in Chincheros (Cusco) by Fernando Belaúnde Terry. Had its roots in the Democratic Youth Front. Main leaders have been Javier Alva Orlandini, Manuel Ulloa, Javier Arias Stella, José María de la Jara y Ureta and Eduardo Orrego.
