Politiken
Politiken is a Danish daily broadsheet newspaper, published by JP/Politikens Hus, one of Denmark's leading media companies. It is published with the goal of being an independent mouthpiece of Danish left wing (Social-Democratic and Social-Liberal) politics.

Dagbladet Politiken was founded October 1, 1884 in Copenhagen by Viggo Hørup, Edvard Brandes and Hermann Bing. It had an original daily circulation of 2,000 copies. The paper established its present location in downtown Copenhagen at Rådhuspladsen ("City Hall Square") in 1912.
