- On September 4, 2005 it has surpassed the Dutch Wikipedia in the number of articles, however soon afterwards (9 September) it returned to the seventh place after being overtaken by the Italian Wikipedia.
- On September 18, 2005 it has surpassed the Swedish Wikipedia in the number of articles and became the sixth largest wikipedia.
- On September 23, 2005 it overtook the Italian Wikipedia and became the fifth largest language edition.
