Pole to Pole
Pole to Pole is a book and documentary, released in 1992, narrated by Michael Palin. It records a year long trip from the North Pole to the South Pole distaining from aircraft travel when he can. Palin's journey was also filmed and broadcast on television on the BBC. Michael travels through the former Soviet Union, parts of Europe, and through the heart of Africa. A diversion to Chile includes South America in the series.
