The content on Playboy TV is a step up from the soft core content of its magazine, showing sex acts right up to insertion shots, however stopping short of any climactic shots.

The channel still stays attached to Playboy's tradition of soft core, feel good entertainment, with plenty of programs not containing sexual acts at all.

Some programs that do contain sexual acts are also done in a way that is seemingly unique to Playboy, such as Sexy Urban Legends, a show where two young men give their humurous accounts of urban legends that are related to sexual situations. The sexual acts on this show are filmed in hardcore, but edited in such a way as to make them suitable for broadcast.
