Pixley (Green Acres)
Pixley was the name of a small town located not far from Hooterville in the fictional world of the American 1960s sitcoms Green Acres and Petticoat Junction. Unlike tiny Hooterville, where the only businesses were the general store operated by Sam Drucker and the Shady Rest Hotel, Pixley apparently had a population of several thousand and was the location of the offices of services used by Hooterville residents such as the telephone company; in some episodes of the shows, at least, it seemed that Pixley was the county seat of the county in which Hooterville was located.
