Pinky Demon

The Pinky Demon (or just "Demon") is a well known monster enemy found in all incarnations of the Doom video game series.

In the original series, the Pinky had a hunched back with pink skin (hence its name), hooved feet on its hind legs, a large head with sharp teeth pointing out, two large muscular arms, beady gold eyes, and two bull horns on the head. Its only gait is a run and it is never seen walking. Its only attacks are basic biting and slashing attacks but because of their brute strength and tendency to be in packs, they can be very deadly.

In the least popular of the Doom series, Doom 64, the shape remained the same but its named was changed to Bull Demon.

In its Doom 3 and incarnations, the Pinky had a huge makeover. The skin is no longer pink, its eyes are absent, the mouth is much smaller and the horns are almost absent. It walks on all fours, with the front legs much bigger and muscular and its entire lower half is mechanical, with large tubes and wires connecting the halves together. It still retains the hunched back, basic attacks, hooved hind feet (though they are mechanical now) and ferocity as the earlier incarnation has. It resembles more of a bull this time around. Even though the skin is no longer pink, it still retained the name Pinky.

The designers have explained the unique face of the new pink demon by describing how it is born: a newborn Pinky's face is buried under thick folds of flesh, and the animal must consume itself to breathe and eat.

It should be noted in some places in the Hell level of Doom 3, the organic half of this demon can be found hanging on meat hooks. Why they are there is unknown, but they could be used as a food source.
