Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd (formed in 1965 in Cambridge, England) are a British progressive rock band, noted for their progressive compositions, sonic experimentation, album art and live shows. Pink Floyd is one of rock's most successful acts, having sold an estimated 250 million albums worldwide.

• Roger Waters - bass, vocals (1965 - 1985, 2005 - ?)
• Syd Barrett - guitar, vocals (1965 - 1968)
• Bob Klose - guitar (1965 - 1966)

The band has not recorded or toured since 1994 and there are no indications that this will change. However, they are due to make an appearance for their induction into the UK Music Hall of Fame, and Roger Waters has expressed a willingness to perform at politically or charitably motivated concerts such as Live 8. Despite not having recorded with the band since 1983, he remains a director and shareholder of Pink Floyd Music Limited (however, the group's activities since his departure have been conducted under the aegis of Pink Floyd Music (1987) Ltd., in which he holds no position).
