Pikes Peak International Raceway

Pikes Peak International Raceway is a one mile oval Auto Racing track located in Fountain, Colorado, just south of Colorado Springs. Capacity: 42,000 Grandstand seats, 20,000 Infield capacity.

On September 30, 2005, it was announced that the track had been bought by the International Speedway Corporation. The ISC plan to shut the facility down by November, and petition NASCAR to move the track's Busch Series date to the Martinsville Speedway for 2006. http://biz.yahoo.com/bizj/050930/1171943.html?.v=1
