Pierina Legnani
Pierina Legnani (1863-1923) was an Italian ballerina responsible for the inclusion of 32 consecutive fouettés en tournant en pointe to the ballet Swan Lake. A prima ballerina assoluta of the Mariinsky Ballet, Legnani trained at La Scala where she developed her technical expertise.
