Phillips Academy (also known as Andover and Phillips Andover) is a coed high school for boarding and day students grades 9-12 located in Andover, Massachusetts, near Boston.

Phillips Academy (PA) is the oldest private high school in the United States. The school's endowment as of April 30, 2005 is approximately $620 million making the per-student endowment almost $600,000. This figure is higher than the per-student endowments at most Ivy League schools, excepting Harvard, Princeton, and Yale.

It has a history of educating its students for Ivy League universities, particularly Yale. While this traditional relationship has declined, Phillips Academy now prepares its graduates for a wide range of universities, including Harvard (which now tops the list with 74 students matriculating in the last five years), Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Johns Hopkins University, New York University, Northwestern University, the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, MIT, and Princeton University. Andover has educated two American Presidents, George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.
