Phi Slamma Jamma
Phi Slamma Jamma was the nickname given to the University of Houston's Cougar basketball team from 1982 to 1984. This team was coached by the legendary Guy V. Lewis. They were especially known for their dunking skills and getting the ball to the basket in a hurry. The name was coined by Tommy Bonk, a writer for the Houston Post newspaper.
