Peter Hedges
Peter Hedges (born July 6, 1962) is an American writer and film director.

Peter grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, where he attended Valley High School. He later went to the North Carolina School of the Arts. His novel, What's Eating Gilbert Grape? was adapted into a critically acclaimed motion picture, which launched his film career.
