Pete's Eats
Pete's Eats is a cafe in Llanberis, north Wales, popular amongst walkers and climbers in the Snowdonia region of mountains.
History
Pete's Eats opened in August 1978http://www.petes-eats.co.uk/static/peteshistory_01.asp, taking its name from Peter Norton, its proprietor.

The building was refurbished in 2002

taking over the adjoining building

to create much-needed space downstairs. The refurbishment also left them with a hotel, showers, and library, while creating a much lighter space in the cafe itself.

Before its refurbishment, Pete's Eats was painted bright mauve so becoming the most visible building in town. Some people joke that as a response to this, the town of Llanberis has painted every other building in even brighter colours, to put the buildings on a more even footing. Pete's Eats is now a dark blue.
