Pencey Prep was a band from NJ, on Eyeball records circa 2000-2001. Frank Iero currently plays guitar for My Chemical Romance, Neil Sabatino and John "Hambone" Mcguire currently play in Fairmont. "Heart break In Stereo" is still available through Eyeball.

Main Songwriters of Pencey Prep - John "Hambone" McGuire and Neil Sabatino currently have written and recorded two follow up albums to 2000's Pencey Prep debut "Heartbreak in Stereo" which were 2004's FAIRMONT album "Hell is Other People" and 2005's "Wait and Hope". Frank Iero in 2002 joined MTV stars My Chemical Romance as a rythym guitarist and was the other third of the Pencey Prep writing team. Shaun Simon, John McGuire and Frank Iero tried a semi- Pencey Prep reunion entitled I Am A Graveyard, however that band didn't last because of Franks heavy tour schedule with MCR and later another incarnation of that band called The Hostage without Frank had a brief run. This was the end of 2003 where John Hambone McGuire met up with previous Pencey guitarist Neil Sabatino and joined his project FAIRMONT. Pencey Prep's album Heartbreak in Stereo was only pressed once and is nearing its end as far as availability from New Jersey Label Eyeball Records who was quoted as saying off the record that Pencey Prep was the worst project they ever were involved in mostly because of their break up before the record even came out. Pencey Prep had many unreleased recordings that saw light of day on the internet and as well tracks originally recorded and written for Pencey Prep appear on FAIRMONT's debut album "Pretending Greatness is Awaiting".
