Pekan

Pekan is the royal town of Pahang, Malaysia, located due south of the current capital of Kuantan, on the South China Sea and the Sungai Pahang river. Is the home of the state's royal family and also the hometown of the current deputy prime minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib.

Pekan's State Museum Sultan Abu Bakar is located in the former residence of the British Resident. Nearby is the Masjid Abdullah dating from the 1920s and the newer Masjid Abu Bakar.
