Peggy Lipton

American Actress born on August 30, 1947 in New York City to a Jewish-American father and an Irish-born mother who was also Jewish. Lipton was raised in Long Island, New York; most famous for her portrayal of "Julie Barnes" in the late 1960s-early 1970s TV show "The Mod Squad".

She married music businessman extraordinaire Quincy Jones in 1974 and had 2 daughters with him, Kidada and Rashida, but they divorced in 1990.

She was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004 and received treatment for it. Apparently she is in remission.
