Pay to Play
Pay-to-play is slang for the practice of giving government contracts to campaign contributors. This is usually considered corrupt. Many states have laws banning pay-to-play.

Pay-to-play is also a term used to describe MMORPGs that require a recurring fee to access the game's servers.
