The village boasts a mere 3000 acres (12 km²) of vineyards in the Haut-M?doc between the villages of Saint-Julien to the south and Saint-Est?phe to the north, yet has the unique distinction of being home to three of Bordeaux's five first growth wines: Ch?teau Lafite-Rothschild, Ch?teau Latour, and Ch?teau Mouton-Rothschild.
