Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor
The Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor is a museum dedicated to General George S. Patton, Jr's life and the history of armoured warefare, from WWI to the present day. It was dedicated on May 30th, 1949. It is located at Fort Knox in Hardin County, Kentucky. It includes static displays of various tanks, other armour and at least one helicopter. These are displayed both indoors and outdoors. There is also an area for visiting exhibits. The museum also includes a number of Patton's personal effects, dating from the second world war, including his office van and touring car.
