The authors' tell these stories from a first-person perspective, as cousins Kate and Cecelia write back and forth, recounting their adventures in magic and polite society. The authors plan to write a third book, set ten years after The Grand Tour, but the title and release date are unknown as of yet. Both of these works are unusual in modern fiction in being epistolary novels, written using the letter game.
