Paterson, New Jersey
Paterson is a city located in Passaic County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 149,222, making it New Jersey's third largest city. It is the county seat of Passaic County{{GR|6}}. The City of Paterson is governed under the Faulkner Act (Mayor-Council) system of municipal government.
Geography
Paterson is located at 40°54'56" North, 74°9'47" West (40.915498, -74.162927){{GR|1}} in the Piedmont (United States) region between the Appalachian foothills and the Coastal Plain.
