Pat Burns
Pat Burns (Born: April 4, 1952 in St. Henri, Quebec) is a French Canadian head coach for the National Hockey League New Jersey Devils. He has also coached the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. He has won three Jack Adams Awards with these three different teams - Montreal (1989), Toronto (1993) and Boston (1998), having the distinction of being the only three-time winner. He also coached for the QMJHL Hull Olympiques and AHL Sherbrooke Canadiens and played one season with the London Knights. He was head coach of the Devils from June 13, 2002 to July 2005, winning one Stanley Cup during his tenure. Burns left the team after being diagnosed with cancer for a second time. Before his career in hockey, he was a police officer in Hull, Quebec.
