Paragould, Arkansas
Paragould is a city located in Greene County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 22,017. The city is the county seat of Greene County{{GR|6}}. Its name combines the last names of J.W. Paramore and Jay Gould, the owners of the two railroads that originally crossed there; it is believed to be the only city in the world with this name.
