Pallasgreen (Pailís Ghréine in Irish) is a village in East County Limerick, situated on the Limerick - Tipperary N24 road. The name means the Stockade of Grian, referring to an ancient Irish Goddess of Love, whose is associated with the a nearby hill of Nicker. The area is notable for its many ancient extinct volcanoes, and hexagonal basalt columns, similar to the rock formations at The Giant's Causeway, can be seen on a steep scarp near the Village

Roughly 3 miles south of Pallasgreen is Sarsfield's Rock, a large rocky outcrop near the church of Templebredon. The Rock looks down on the site where Patrick Sarsfield destroyed the Williamite artilery during the . The Rock itself commands fine views of the surrounding hill country.
