Palestine (graphic novel)

Palestine is the title of a graphic novel written and drawn by Joe Sacco about his experiences in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Sacco gives a portrayal which emphasizes the history and plight of the Palestinian people, as a group and as individuals. He also gives space not only to Israeli history, but to his interactions with Israelis, many of which are positive. Sacco's style is articulate and clear, including maps, historical background, interviews and first-person accounts. Most of the book is Sacco listening to stories told by Palestinians.
