Palermo
Beach
The main beach of Palermo is called Mondello. It is very beautiful early or late in the season, but can be overly crowded in July or August. Also during these two months, the beach is cluttered with rows upon rows of changing houses, and access to the beach is restricted. However several openings allow free bathing. From central Palermo, the 806 bus will take you to Mondello.
