Outside the Lines


 

Outside the Lines began in 1990 as a monthly progam that examined a critical issue in American sports. After a noticeable increase in television ratings, ESPN decided to expand this to their Sunday morning lineup, where the show covered one or two of the more notable sporting news stories.

On May 12, 2003, ESPN made Outside the Lines a nightly show. It usually airs after the 11 PM SportsCenter. Veteran ESPN personality Bob Ley is the primary host although Jeremy Schaap frequently serves as substitute host.
