Outback Steakhouse is a United States-based restaurant chain with locations all over the world using the Australian outback as the theme. The restaurants are decorated with Australian icons such as boomerangs, pictures of kangaroos, koalas, etc. To further show their dedication to the theme, the items on the menu are named after places in Australia and accompanied by animals, things, or places found there (e.g Ayers Rock Strip and Kookaburra Wings). During the Christmas season, some restaurants hang their Christmas trees upside down from the ceiling to emphasize their origin from "the land down under".
