Out of Practice is an American comedy television series which centers on a psychologist who is part of a family of doctors.

Ben (played by Christopher Gorham) is a psychologist whose entire family are medical doctors, and who thus has been considered less of a doctor than the rest.

His older brother Oliver (Ty Burrell) is a plastic surgeon who can't hold down a relationship. His sister Regina (Paula Marshall) is an ER doctor and also a lesbian. His mother Lydia (Stockard Channing) is a prominent surgeon who her children compete to spend at little time as possible with. And his father Stewart (Henry Winkler) is a formerly well-known doctor who, now divorced, is dating his receptionist (Jennifer Tilly).
