Osvaldo Golijov
Osvaldo Golijov (born in La Plata, Argentina, December 5, 1960) is a classical music composer. He studied with George Crumb.

In 2000 Golijov, along with Sofia Gubaidulina, Tan Dun, and Wolfgang Rihm, was commissioned by the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart to write a piece for the Passion 2000 project in commemoration of Johann Sebastian Bach. His contribution was the La Pasión Segun San Marcos (San Marcos' Passion). He has also composed works for the Kronos Quartet.
