Ordinary Wizarding Level
An Ordinary Wizarding Level (often abbreviated OWL) is an examination testing one's knowledge of and/or ability in a particular field of magic or other magical field of study in the fictional Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. The name "Ordinary Wizarding Level" comes from the O Level that used to be offered in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The administration procedure for both exams are very similar.
