Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) is a British period instrument or baroque orchestra. Formed in 1986 by a group of players, it does not have a principal conductor, rather is led artistically by a board of elected musicians. The current Principal Guest Conductors are Sir Simon Rattle CBE and Frans Bruggen. It is an associate orchestra of the Royal Festival Hall in London and at Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
