Hollywood
The 1965 spy thriller and war movie Operation Crossbow, written from a story from Duilio Coletti and Vittoriano Petrilli, is a fictionalized account of the real-life Operation Crossbow. Although the film is highly fictionalized, the film does touch on the main aspects of the operation. Directed by Michael Anderson, it's stars include George Peppard, Trevor Howard, John Mills, Tom Courtney and Anthony Quayle. To help sell the film, Sophia Loren is given her role and a major billing by her husband and producer of the film Carlo Ponti, but has a very minor role.
