Onyx is a hardcore hip-hop group from Queens, NY. Originally formed in 1989 by Fredro Starr, Sonee Seez and Big DS, the group later added Sticky Fingaz (cousin to Starr), and subsequently produced the "Throw Ya Gunz" EP in 1993. In 1994, Onyx released their "Bacdafucup" LP to critical acclaim and commercial success.
