"Only The Good Die Young" is a popular song from Billy Joel's 1977 pop rock album, The Stranger. The song is about a young ne'er-do-well trying to seduce an innocent Catholic girl. The third single released from the album, it peaked at number 24 on the American pop charts in the fall of 1978.
