On Your Toes
On Your Toes was a collaborative Broadway show 1939 written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.
Plot
Junior Donal, the hero of the story, is child vaudeville star who becomes a music teacher. He is enlisted by Sidney, a composer, and Frankie, a coed who wants to be his girlfriend, to help sell a musical called, "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue" to a Russian Ballet company. There he encounters the prima ballerina, Vera Barnova and her jealous boyfriend. Then the mafia becomes involved, because of a case of mistaken identity, and hijinks ensue.
