On a Clear Day, You Can See Forever is an original musical play with music by Burton Lane and lyrics and book by Alan Jay Lerner. The Broadway production opened on October 17, 1965, and played 281 performances. The Broadway production starred Barbara Harris, John Cullum, Clifford David, and Titos Vandis. The Paramount film adaptation (1970), directed by Vincente Minnelli, starred Barbra Streisand, Yves Montand, Jack Nicholson, and Bob Newhart.
The Plot
The plot concerns Daisy Gamble, who has special clairvoyant powers. When hypnotized by Dr. Mark Bruckner, she recalls her life as Melinda Wells in Regency Britain.
