Olympic Stadium, Tokyo
The National Olympic Stadium is a stadium in Tokyo, that served as the main stadium for the 1964 Summer Olympics. However, it was completed in 1958 as the Japanese national stadium, with its first major event being the 1958 Asian Games. Since then, the stadium has held many other significant events, most notably the 1991 World Athletics Championships. As the national stadium in Japan, it is the venue for the final of the Emperor's Cup on 1st January each year, while it also occasionally serves as the home ground for both FC Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy, as well as other teams in the J-League. The stadium's capacity is currently 60,057.
