Old Market Square
Old Market Square is a large, open town square in Nottingham, England. It is the biggest square in Britain and is the heart of the city of Nottingham. Plans are being made to redevelop the square in a project called Square One.

One end of the Square is dominated by the Council House (Nottingham's City Hall); either side of the Council House is a pair of stone lions, which are famed by Nottingham residents as a focal point and meeting place.

Some people refer to the square as "Slab Square".

It was on the Market Square that Robin Hood took advantage of an amnesty and won the coveted silver arrow in a contest devised by the Sheriff of Nottingham.
