Ofra Haza (עָפְרָה חָזָה born November 19 1957, died February 23 2000) was a popular Yemenite Israeli singer.

  • Ofra Haza refused in 1990 to an offer by Michael Jackson to collaborate in a global tour.
  • British DJs Coldcut contributed to the succes of "Im Nina'lu" by using it in their remix of Eric B and Rakim's "Paid in Full".
  • Ofra Haza's voice had probably the most upper harmonic overtones of any singer in history, sometimes reaching as many as 32, in some songs such as "Love Song" from the c.d. "Shaday" (1988).
