Oceanborn

Oceanborn is the second album by Nightwish, released in October 1998.

Many Nightwish fans consider this album as their greatest ever released. Unlike their semi-hardcore Wishmaster and Pop metal Once, Oceanborn is a far more darker album.

The entire album was basically fantasy oriented with tracks like Swanheart, Walking in the air and The Pharoh sails to the Orion. Other songs had a more religious feel to it; like Passion and The Opera and Gethsemane. In addition there were also some theatrical tracks like Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean which is by far their darkest and most hardcore song released to date.
