Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Ocean Springs is a city located in Jackson County, Mississippi, about 8 miles east of Biloxi. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 17,225. The town has achieved something of a reputation as an "arts community." Its downtown area is home to several art galleries and shops plying artistic wares. It is also home to a number of ethnic restaurants, relatively uncommon in surrounding communities. Ocean Springs was severely damaged on August 29, 2005, by Hurricane Katrina.

Ocean Springs is located at 30°24'36" North, 88°47'51" West (30.409948, -88.797422){{GR|1}}.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 39.4 km² (15.2 mi²). 30.1 km² (11.6 mi²) of it is land and 9.3 km² (3.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 23.57% water.
