Norton Internet Security is the second leading product by Symantec Corporation. It focuses on providing users with efficient, comprehensive Internet security protection on Microsoft Windows. The features include its standard AntiVirus engine, AntiSpam, Firewall, AdBlocking, and other useful protection tools. Anti-Spyware has been recently added to the AntiVirus protection. The most recent version is Norton Internet Security 2005.

Norton Internet Security includes Norton AntiVirus, as well as Norton Personal Firewall, which includes intrusion detection features which seek to automatically stop any attempt at intrusion into a computer. Internet Security's privacy protection seeks to protect private data (e.g. credit card numbers, ATM numbers, etc.) from being transmitted over the net while 'parental controls' block a user from viewing sites considered offensive or pornographic by the compilers of Norton's list of proscribed URLs. Norton AntiSpam seeks to prevent spam from getting in the user's email inbox.

Norton Internet Security 2005 has a new anti-piracy feature called product activation which can also be found in Windows/Office XP versions. This process allows software companies to limit the number of installations to prevent large scale piracy.
