North East, Pennsylvania
North East is a borough located in Erie County, Pennsylvania, 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Erie. Fruit growing was an early economic endeavor. It contains St. Mary's College(Catholic). In 1900, 2,068 people called it home, and in 1910, 2,672 people resided here. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 4,601.
