Norman Pearlstine
Normal Pearlstine (born October 4 1942 in Philadelphia) is the editor-in-chief of TIME inc. (now Time Warner), a position he assumed on January 1 1995{{ref|1}}. He oversees the content of Time Warner's roughly 140 publications. He is married to Nancy Friday, a feminist author{{ref|2}}.

He graduated from Haverford College and obtained a University of Pennsylvania law degree. Before joining TIME, he worked for the Wall Street Journal (1968-1992), the final two years as executive editor. After leaving the Wall Street Journal he launched SmartMoney, and was partner of Friday Holdings.

Pearlstine was briefly part of the controversy surrounding Matthew Cooper when he acted on a US court subpoena to hand Cooper's notes to the independent prosecutor investigating the outing of Valerie Plame as a covert agent of the CIA{{ref|4}}.
