Nobel prizes by university affiliation

Nobel Prizes have always been a source of pride for universities, suggesting their excellence in teaching or in providing research opportunities. The following list provides information on nobel laureates and their affiliation to academic institutions. There has, of course, been great controversy on the question which institution was key to the contribution the respective laurates were honored for. Therefore, this list only speaks of affiliation and clearly indicates how the laurate was or is related to the respective institution. This list will, due to its nature, never be complete.
